　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　選考は、自薦ではなく、推薦委員からの推薦による方式を採用しています。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　推薦委員の方には、良い候補者の推薦をお願いします。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　研究助成金授賞式の際には、気鋭の研究者を招待して、

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　講演会 ”Morino Discussion" を開催します。最新の成果を分かりやすく

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　お話しいただくことを講演者にお願いしています。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　積極的に質問し、議論を盛り上げ、最新の成果を学んでください。

The Morino Foundation offers Research Funds to promising young molecular scientists. Each year two or three awardees are selected. The list of awardees (in Japanese) is shown. The award ceremony is held on the day of “Morino Discussion”, where two speakers are invited to present their recent results in easy-to-comprehend talks for young researchers in different fields.

 

２．外国人研究者招聘（1986年から）

       Invitation of Eminent Researchers  　 分子科学で著名な外国人研究者を毎年数名招聘して、 "Morino Lecture" を

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　開催し、学術交流の場とします。世界の最前線の方々から学び、議論する機会

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　としてください。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　これまでの招聘研究者のリストを掲載しました。

The Foundation invites outstanding scientists from abroad to give young Japanese scientists opportunities, Morino Lectures, where they learn from, and discuss directly with lectures. The first Morino Lecturer was Prof. John Polanyi in 1986, the year he won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Since then, the Foundation invites a few scientists every year as Morino Lecturers. The list of Morino Lecturers is shown in Japanese.

３．国際学術集会開催援助（1985年から）

       Support for Conferences                   国内で開催される国際学術集会を援助します。定例ではなく話題性ある会

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　であること、若手育成を目指すことを求めます。

The foundation supports International Conferences organized by molecular scientists in Japan. Conferences on hot topics take precedence over periodically held ones. Organizers are advised to enchourage young scientists to join the Conferences.

 

４．海外学術集会渡航助成（1991年から）

       Support for Travel Expences              海外での学術集会への出席を援助します。

The foundation supports traveling expenses of molecular scientists in Japan who wish to report their results at the international meetings that are held abroad.

 

1, 2 は、推薦委員および運営委員に推薦を依頼します。推薦の締め切りは、10月31日が目安です。

3.は10月31日までに集会開催代表者が委員長に申請してください。

4.は本人から委員長に会議の2か月以上前に申請してください。

詳細は、委員長にお問い合わせください。

The deadline for the nominations of the items 1 and 2 is October 31.

The applications for the item 3 (support for international meeting) should be sent to the chair by October 31.

The application for the item 4 (travel expense) should be sent to the chair more than 2 months in advance.

*2020年7月14日に故伊藤光男先生（東北大学名誉教授、元分子科学研究所所長、元岡崎共同研究機構長）から42,599,043円の寄付を受けました。ご遺志に感謝し、基金の学術振興活動に活かしていきます。2020年8月時点の残高は約227百万円です。

なお、これまでにも国内外からの寄付金がありましたことに、改めて感謝いたします。

*The foundation received 42.6 million yen from the late Prof. Mitsuo Ito (Emeritus professor of the Tohoku University). We acknowledge the generous donation, which will be utilized for the activities of the foundation.
